Erik Andersen,
Founder & President
26 years experience in the Interventional Medical Device Industry. Has
extensive experience in product and equipment design, development,
process optimization, manufacturing and industrialization.
Established Boston Scientific A/S as the first non-US subsidiary of
Boston Scientific Corporation. In 10 years grew the company to revenue
of DKK 250 million and 200 employees. Contributed with several
state-of-the-art products and process equipment. Established
international network with leading physicians and universities.
For
five years President of Nycomed Amersham Medical Systems/CathNet-Science
France and Denmark, a fully integrated international corporation with
development and manufacturing of products for interventional cardiology
and neuro radiology.
In 2000
initiated collaboration with the University of Akron, Ohio, exploring
poly-ethylene-imines ability to accumulate and elute pure nitrogen
oxide, NO, within the vascular system a technology demanding precise
molecular distribution and control.
In 2003
established Cube Medical, implemented nano electro spinning for
NO-coating of medical devices and became co-founder to Millimed Inc,
Millimed A/S.
Inventor of 20 patents, among others the Meadox Surgimed’s Olbert PTA
Balloon, BSC’s Esophageal Stent, Millimed’s Zero Link Stent, fiber
covered stent and Nitrogen Oxide eluting intravascular devices.
